Anna graduated from Manchester University in 2004 after studying printed textile design; and now lives in Penpol, Cornwall. Her freelance work is exhibited across Europe and most recently in New York.
This is Anna's latest summer collection entitled "Oh Buoy"; a series of paintings inspired by the Cornish coast:-
"Looking out over an old boat yard one morning, my eye was drawn to a colurful array of disused buoys hanging on a mesh fence. I was amused and captivated by the subtle, salty arrangement of their 'sea-worn' hues, simple forms and faded inscriptions. The way they had been hung, they were displayed as if with painstaking precision. I saw a precious collection of decorative baubles, full of life and drama in the muted sunshine - a happy mis-shaped sense of order and flair."
Anna's abstract work is best described as mixed media - a colourful and varied fusion of acrylics, pastel, collaged found fabrics and printmaking.
